تم تطوير الحزمة التكنولوجية لإنتاج البيوايثانول من قش الأرز. وتم اعداد دراسة جدوى فنية ومالية لإنتاج 20,000 طن سنوياً من البيوايثانول "الكحول" بالإضافة الى منتجات ثانوية (غاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون للأغراض الصناعية). وجاري التنسيق لتسويق المشروع من خلال اتصالات مع جهاز شئون البيئة والهيئة العامة للاستثمار حيث تم اعداد مخطط المشروع الرئيسي للعرض على الخريطة الاستثمارية وجاري التنسيق مع جهات معنية من خلال الهيئة.

The technological package for the production of bioethanol from rice straw has been developed. A technical and financial feasibility study was prepared to produce 20,000 tons annually of bioethanol (alcohol) in addition to by-products (carbon dioxide gas for industrial purposes). Coordination is underway to market the project through contacts with the Environmental Affairs Agency and the General Authority for Investment. The master plan of the project has been prepared for presentation on the investment map, and coordination is underway with the concerned authorities through the Authority.
